Chacala: Local Vacationers and Fresh Tortillas Every Night
Chacala is a charming little beach town about two hours north of Puerto Vallarta (and an hour north of increasingly well known Sayulita). It’s a popular destination for Mexican vacationers, and the mellow little bay is peppered with no-frills seafood spots. Best of all are the ladies that set up an outdoor taco-quesadilla-volcana operation come nightfall — each tortilla is made fresh to-order, and filled with cheeses and meats of your choice.
